The Department of Gastro (GI) Sciences is a Centre of Excellence dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care for the entire spectrum of gastrointestinal disorders. Integrating the expertise of Medical Gastroenterology and Surgical Gastroenterology, the department delivers seamless care for diseases of the esophagus, stomach, liver, biliary tract, pancreas, small and large intestines, colorectal and proctology. We specialize in the management of both benign and malignant conditions, including complex gastrointestinal cancers, offering advanced treatment tailored to each patient’s individual needs.

At the heart of our department is a culture of teamwork. Our Medical Gastroenterologists, GI and HPB surgeons, GI Oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, anesthesiologists, intensivists, nutritionists, and specialized nursing teams collaborate through structured Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) meetings to formulate personalized, evidence-based treatment strategies that optimize outcomes while preserving quality of life.
